BENJAMIN BIRKBECK

Benjamin, a composer, producer, arranger and educator graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in Music Production and Engineering and minor in Filmscoring.  Benjamin has written and produced an extensive music library and sound portfolio.  Projects include songs written, produced and arranged for clients such as: Portland Symphony Orchestra, PBS, US Army, NASA, AT& T, Uno’s Pizzeria, Boston Bruins, Blue Planet Run Foundation, TideSmart Global, Discovery Channel, Land Rover and the Emmy nominated series, “The Review” and "For Blood", winner of the San Diego Film Festival Best Picture for Short Film. Music and Sound Design for 2016 audiobook adaptation of Tula: The Revolt (now a major motion picture) 

 

In 2011, Benjamin created and opened recording and teaching studio under the name Studio B Exchange in Yarmouth, Maine. Work at Studio B Exchange includes teaching piano, music theory, voice, composition, arranging, general music and group dynamics to over 60 students per week.  With an emphasis on a "whole" approach to music, creativity and learning, focus is on all aspects of music study: guiding, instructing and inspiring a confident understanding of theory composition and performance.
